Born and raised in San Francisco, singer/songwriter Jahari Sai has grown up on some of California's most artistically fertile ground. In spite of her having to endure the obstacles of a severe upbringing, her music chronicles a personal celebration of life. At the center is an evocative, soulful voice delivered with poise and purity. But no less significant is the presence of her acoustic guitar, sounding a rhythmic chime of subtle tones and elegant changes. Jahari's music is a reflection of wide-ranging influences as well as a fusion of assorted styles. However, she never fails to establish a cohesive unity or define her own sonic spin. The result is a truly personal sound that is categorically all her own. Vibrant and joyful, or poignant and pensive, her vibe is her message: alluring, seductive, genuine, always revealing the innermost nature of her world. The Jahari Sai Group: The ensemble combines Jahari's stunning voice and guitar with a smooth yet highly refined rhythm section. The instincts are inherently diverse: from jazz to bossa nova, pop, soul. The sound is both fresh and familiar, classic and modern, and always engaging. The group can exude chamber-like intimacy or deliver tight, snug-fitting grooves. The sound produced by this small ensemble is thoroughly captivating. The trio also performs popular cover tunes from Norah Jones, Marvin Gaye, Nancy Sinatra, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Roberta Flack,Corrine Bailey Rae and many more popular cover tunes.
