About Vendor

Learn more about this vendor for your event.

KBC trio-an exciting group that combines traditional and modern Jazz music, R & B tunes of the 60's-70's, Latin, Soul, Funk and beyond. Earthy sounds blended with jazz in a sophisticated setting. We want to play for you! We also feature a Vocalist whenever the occasion calls for one. Kyle Whitlock hails from Columbia, South Carolina and his main passion in life is being a musician and composer. He is a studio composer of many genres of music, and also a performing artist in many different local jazz and variety music ensembles. Kyle also composes music for Radio and Public and Commercial television. He has played keyboards, guitar and drums/percussionprofessionally for over 30 years, and has written a huge catalog of instrumental compositions. His writing encompasses a blend of musical styles and themes including Modern jazz, Progressive Rock, R & B, Electronica, World, and Solo piano. Kyle has performed in major cities such as New York, Nashville, and Las Vegas throughout his career. He has shared thestage with musical artists Spyro Gyra, Najee, Delbert McClinton, Archie Bell and the Drells, Brook Benton, and once played piano at a private reception for friends of former President Gerald Ford. Kyle is a member of The Coastal Breeze Party Band from Columbia. He has been a member of the Funkdawgs virtual jazz group for ten years. Chuck Campbell has been playing the guitar for over 30 years and is fluent in Rock, Jazz, Swing, R&B and Classical styles. Chuck returned toColumbia, SC. after spending 2 ½ years in Nashville, Tenn. pursuing a B.A. in Music Education where he was able to hone his Guitar, Trumpet, French horn, Saxophone and Percussion skills. Realizing his heart was on the stage and not the classroom, he began traveling the East Coast and Mid West extensively performing with numerous ensembles. Even with a full performance schedule he tries to find time for teaching privately on a limited basis. Chuck has also had the honor of sharing the stage as an opening act for artists such as Foghat, Molly Hatchet, Steppenwolf, Nantucket and The Drifters. Chuck is also a member of Coastal Breeze Party band. Buzzy Deas is a performing drummer of many years in the local Columbia music scene. During the seventies he played with the Percy Sledge group as well as several local groups including Take five, Big George Collier, Rick Boyd trio. In the eighties he played drums with Mamas Home cooking group, Fresh Air, and the Dick Goodwin band. From the nineties to the present he performed with Second Nature and the Ross Holmes band.

Anniversary PartyReviewed on September 25, 2016From Swansea, SC

I booked the ABC trio for my parents anniversary party. We were a little concerned that they advertised as a jazz trio, but they play it all. They did a fantastic job, completely professional, and extremely talented musicians. I would recommend them without hesitation or any reservation!!

Birthday Party (Adult)Reviewed on January 26, 2015From Lexington, SC

Kyle and his band were wonderful! I booked them last minute, but were so accommodating! Their fee was way more reasonable than I expected for such a great group. The band was a gift to my film for his 80th birthday, and he was so pleased! I definitely highly recommend KBC trio!
