About

Our basic style is 'smooth jazz' which incorporates a romantic touch into standard and new songs, but we also play traditional jazz and are well known in New Orleans for our original style. We have played in jazz festivals all over the world and were recently featured in a Sesame Street production. We have never counted the total number of songs that we play, but the partial list we send out contains over 1,400 numbers.
We play 80-100 weddings a year as, to the best of our knowledge, we are the only band in New Orleans that can provide music for all aspects of weddings: ceremonies (including church organ with brass), receptions, rehearsal parties, second lines, streetcar rides, Jewish weddings, Italian etc. We were named best wedding band by New Orleans Magazine.

"They played beautifully, were on time and very professional. My only comment is that we had originally talked about doing a 20 minute second line, which did not happen. It may have been a miscommunication."

" In response to correct this information: We absolutely provided a rolicking second line, a segue from the ceremony recessional, parading across the street from the venue and around the pocket park there which took 7-8 minutes. We then secondlined back to the venue where the plan was to continue the second line inside the venue to complete the 20 minutes as discussed with the bride and confirmed by her bridesmaid just before the ceremony. However, someone directed the guests back out to the street. For future clients, New Orleans requires a parade permit and police escort to parade on public streets and it is our job to be sure nothing illegal is done. "
