PEARL MOON lead vocalist Gaye Lee Russell has been a professional vocalist, musician, voice over artist, writer and performer for over forty years. Whether singing blues, jazz, rock or other genres, she has shared stage and studio with an array of prominent musicians such as Muddy Waters, Elvin Bishop, Gil Scott-Heron, Robert Cray among many more top-flight performers. As a teen-ager from the 60's San Francisco psychedelic blues music scene, Gaye Lee shied away from the “Janis” stigma that has followed her through the years. Wanting to be appreciated for her own "style", Gaye Lee embarked on her own musical journey for many years that eventually brought her back to her "Janis" roots. No matter what she sings, as soon as she hits the stage with her long flowing, wild hair and belts out a song it is crystal clear to the listener what she was meant to do.
