Description

Formed at the curly-tailed end of the twentieth century, southern California-based Paddy's Pig performs lively, acoustic renditions of traditional and pseudo-traditional Irish and Celtic music. Their repertoire includes songs, reels, jigs, ballads and drinking and rebel songs.

Lead vocalist, Missy Gibson with her striking and distinctive vocals, is a feisty and fun lass who never lets an audience down. Other members include Mike Flanagan on mandolin, vocals and penny whistle, Marty Beal on Guitar and Damon Pipitone on drums and percussion. Equally at home playing barn-burners like "The Blacksmith" and the Pogues' "Sally MacLennane", heart-wrenching ballads such as "He Fades Away" and "She Moved Through the Fair", or classic tunes like "Black Velvet Band" and "Whiskey in the Jar", Paddy's Pig never fails to get the audience involved, occasionally leaving the stage to do so, blurring the line between audience and performer.

Available For:

Anniversaries, Bachelor Parties, Bachelorette Parties, Banquets, Birthday Parties, Children's Birthday Parties, Celebrations, Christenings, Christmas Parties, Church Services, Clubs, Community Events, Conventions, Corporate Functions, Dinner Dances, Festivals, Fund Raisers, Funerals, Graduation Parties, Grand Openings, Halloween Parties, Picnic, Private Parties, Proms, Restaurants, Reunions, Weddings, Wedding Ceremonies, Wedding Cocktail Hours, Wedding Receptions...and more.

Feedback

  • Everyone commented on how great the band was!!! Guests said that ours was the best wedding they'd ever been to and that they had the most fun ever! I have Paddy's Pig to thank for this. Not only are they an amazing talented group of musicians, but they are true professionals. Their passion for what they do is apparent. When a key band member's back went out the morning of the wedding, the band carried on by acquiring an army cot in which to transport him in & he performed with the help of prescription pain killers flat on his back! Not many bands would be so kind to not call the bride that morning, I had no idea of the drama they were going through, they ROCK! -- Vezna G, Redondo Beach, CA, 4/2/2011
  • Paddy's Pig arrived in plenty of time, set up on the stage without asking for help, talked pleasantly with everyone there at the event (youngsters as well as senior citizens), played everyone's requests--including Danny Boy---played for the maximum amount of time without taking a break, had come all the way up from the San Diego area for our event, and played all the usual Irish songs, but also played some of their own compostitions, which were wonderful. The audience spoke warmly about them to me during the week following the event. We'd be the first to hopefully hire them again. (We had actually hired them for March 12, they nicely accomodated our date change) -- Cynthia M, Lake Balboa, CA, 3/5/2011
  • Paddy's Pig was fantastic! They did a great job. Everyone really enjoyed their music. I highly recommend them and would definitely hire them again. -- Amy D, Oxnard, CA, 12/13/2008
