Celticado has been performing together since James and Adam met at a traditional Irish session at the Harp in North Amherst during the winter of 2005. They liked each other's style and have been performing together ever since.
The music of Celticado is a lively mixture of selected Celtic (western Europe and the UK, Cape Breton and Newfoundland, Montreal/Quebec and New England) jigs, reels, hornpipes, strathspeys, waltzes and polkas. The duo plays and sings in a lively traditional style with close melodies of different timbre that intertwine to create a mystical sound unlike the typical string bands found in north America today.
On any given evening, you might find Celticado playing The Kilfenora Set, or singing Paddy's Green Shamrock Shore with friends and family at The Harp in North Amherst, or the Sweet Music Studio & Shop in South Hadley, Massachusetts.
Adam Sweet (Violin, viola, mandolin, guitar, cello, bass),
Jamie Bunting (Bouzouki, guitar, mandolin, tenor banjo),
Claudine Langille (Guitar, mandolin, vocals)
