I am eager to acknowledge that in my short life span of (40-something) years, God has blessed me in every single aspect of my life. I have many overlapping-and at times, complicated life roles: I am a mother of a ten-year old, a minister's wife, and a minister's daughter. I am a Youth Counselor, author/ playwright & Inspirational Blogger! I am also an advocate for Adoption. I adopted my daughter @ birth, she is now 10. And I am so eager to share and lend a voice to the urgency of adoption! I often wonder why God gave me an “extra,” dose of self-esteem. And it is not until recently, when I completed my Master's Degree in Advising, that it has been revealed to me; I am supposed to share, and impart unto others-as His Word Says: “For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.” (Luke 12:48, KJV). This scripture summarizes: to whom much is given, much is required. As a church youth counselor, at an inner-city church, I have witnessed the many issues and challenges some young adults face on a daily basis. My motivation, in this regard, is to inspire, encourage, and hopefully help mold young minds. I am so very passionate in mentoring to youth, especially to young girls, many of whom lack positive role models. So, here I am, lending an empowered, prayerful voice-as I am led by my faith.
