Growing up in Mississippi, Johnny always felt a special connection with the King. He learned guitar at the age of 14 and performed for the kids at his home and school before his family moved overseas when he took his act to the stage in Asia and Australia. He eventually returned to the states, moved to Las Vegas, and became a professional Elvis Tribute Artist in 1985.

"Good performer who worked the audience very well. He is a performer, not just a singer of Elvis songs. The amplification level was exactly what we were seeking. His excellent interaction with our wine club members resulted in a bit of swooning and I even heard some very girlish giggles as a few women had their dream come true that evening as Elvis sat next to them and sang them a song.
After an equipment failure, he rebounded and strolled to each table and performed unplugged with his acoustic guitar. A few people commented about the fact that he was actually singing, not just letting an Elvis recording sing."

"ELVIS is in the building!! Wow, what a great time we all had!! He truly won the hearts of everyone at this party! My mom had a surprise 80th birthday party and when "Elvis" arrived to perform for her, she was without a doubt taken by Surprise!! She loved every minute of it and got a kick out of his performance because he really looked like and moved like "Elvis". His show was outstanding and so many people complimented his performance. This was a Family Party and every person from adults to kids had such a great time. He had a group of 10-15 year old girls on the side lines dancing and enjoying the music, while the adults partcipated with him. "Our only issue was he thought the start time was 7:30 p.m. but it was 7:00 p.m. In his defense, in my first communication with Johnny Reno, I did request 7:30 but later changed it to 7:00.
We were extrememly pleased with his singing ability. We chose The Wonder of You as one of songs, and frankly I was nervous. That song requires quite a voice to pull it off. He did it magnificently!
Our venue was small and intimate. Johnny interacted personably with our guests and endeared himself to all."

"Johnny was very accomodating; he took the time to come to North Ridge and go over with our committee where he would set up his equipment, the program for the evening, the timing, the lighting (he volunteered to bring his own), and to ask if there was anything special we wanted.
The party was a little slow to warm up to the entertainment because there were so many other activities going on, but once the ladies got involved - it was a ball. We were all dancing, singing and flirting with Elvis and were totally entertained.
We were very pleased and would have Elvis at our party again!!

"The gig required a great deal of flexibility. This was a fundraiser in which some of the fundraising activities had to be incorporated into Johnny's show. In addition, it was the first time we had an entertainer at this event for several years.
