Description
With "Elvis E" or "Richard as Neil" (Diamond), it is possible to recreate a classic performance from one of these two musical icons at your event without breaking your budget. Since 2004, I have appeared at close to 500 private parties and events, including wedding receptions (where I've performed fake Vegas-style ceremonies), birthday celebrations, retirement parties, bachelorette parties, assisted-living facilities and corporate functions.
My rates are consumer-friendly. You can have Elvis E (or Richard as Neil) at your function for as little as $150 for 30 minutes or $220 for a full-hour appearance. And I pay the $20 finders fee for you! (And ask me about even lower-price singing telegrams.)
I have competed in Elvis contests in Pigeon Forge, TN (5th place), Branson, Baltimore, Buffalo, Dewey Beach, DE (4th place) and Spotsylvania, VA; performed at the Night of 100 Elvises charity event in Baltimore (2004-2008), the 9:30 Club in DC, Hometown Holidays and Out to Lunch Wednesdays in Rockville, MD, Live! On the Wilson Plaza in Washington, DC and performed in and hosted Elvis's Birthday Bash at Dr. Dremo's Tap House in Arlington, VA.
With Elvis E, you get a high-energy, clean, light-hearted, good-natured tribute to The King--I am appropriately serious during the serious songs like Elvis was when he performed them; but provide a touch of humor during lighter songs and moments in the performance--all without making fun of The King or doing anything obscene. I do a lot of roaming in the audience during my performances. Like Elvis did during his 70s concerts, I like to make every lady in the room feel like Elvis is singing to her. I give out scarves during all of my performances, teddy bears (if I sing Teddy Bear) and a lei to the guest(s) of honor (when applicable). For wedding receptions, I can perform a fake Vegas Elvis wedding ceremony for the bride and groom (on request), complete with wedding certificate, for no extra charge. I now have five jumpsuits to choose from: the classic white Aloha American Eagle, the white Fringe, the black Nail suit, the royal blue Swirl and the red Burning Love suit. I also have the 68 Comeback Leather outfit for 68 Comeback Special sets.
As Neil, I wear one of his classic sequined shirts and can sing up to 50 of Neil's classic songs (from Solitary Man, Cherry Cherry and Sweet Caroline to America, Cracklin' Rosie and Forever in Blue Jeans), playing guitar on a number of songs.
After the shows, I am available to pose for photos with any of the guests who'd like one taken, for no extra charge.
I can also bring my full sound system and run a complete karaoke operation for your event or DJ your oldies record hop (with or without "Elvis E" or "Richard as Neil"). My resume includes much of the last 30 years in radio as a disc jockey, including major market stations in the Washington, DC area.
For karaoke, I have a complete system with a 10,000 song library--featuring almost any song you can imagine, from standards to pop, country, r&b, oldies, recent hits--everything!
For record hops, I specialize in classic danceable oldies from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s. Sorry, I don't play hip-hop, rap, ska, indy, alternative or big band.
My rates start at $150 for a 30-minute appearance. For no extra charge, I bring along a personal p.a. system good for a group of 150 or less in a small- to medium-size area. If your event requires my full sound system, I charge a reduced hourly rate for a minimum of three hours. This will get you any combination of Elvis E/Neil/karaoke/record hop for up to three hours. Note: There is an additional $40 travel fee if your gig is between 50 and 99 miles away, $70 if you are between 100 and 149 miles away, $110 if between 150 and 199 miles from me or $150 if over 200 miles from me. Again, if you just need a quick 15-minute pop-in singing telegram, I will take $20 off the 30-minute rate.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
When ya gotta have Elvis (or Neil) at your event for a reasonable rate, I'm your guy.
"Thank you, thank you very much."

- We had Elvis E perform for a surprise party for our daughter's 30th birthday. He was very accommodating and professional. - Elvis E. was excellent. Communication, professionalism, attention to the smallest detail, and showmanship was absolutely the best. The guests thought he was great. And what a show! I'm so glad that he was my choice for entertainment at my birthday party. And I'd like to add (in Elvis voice), "Thank you, thank you very much." -- Karen C, Baltimore, MD, 10/12/2007
- Elvis E. is a great entertainer and everyone at our party enjoyed his performance - including a group of teenage boys who are very hard to please! From the youngest member (age 3) to the oldest, we all had a great time. Elvis E. will be talked about at our gatherings for years to come!

- I appreciate his willingness to travel quite a distance to perform at our nursing home. He was very kind and personable to the residents. I think next time we might try his Neil Diamond show instead of Elvis. -- Sue Ellen C, Lynchburg, VA, 1/24/2012
- Richard did a marvelous job of entertaining 200 women as Elvis-E. He was prompt and made his entrance wearing a gorgeous reproduction outfit of glitter, beads and sequins. He was very accommodating about the songs I wanted him to preform and his last number, The American Trilogy, garnered him a standing ovation. I can't say for certain, but I think his fifteen minutes of photo ops went into overtime, but all the ladies wanted a picture with Elvis-E. Richard is very generous and the ladies loved his performance. -- Gabby S, Richmond, VA, 11/5/2011
