Nichole Rohrbach

Harpist Nichole Rohrbach began her music studies at age 5 beginning with the piano. At 8 years of age Nichole added the violin to her list of instrumental lessons. However, it was not until she turned 13 that Nichole finally began studying the instrument she had wanted to play from her earliest recollection, the harp. While she maintained her course of study in piano and violin, Nichole fell in love with the heavenly strains of the harp and progressed rapidly. She eventually auditioned and was accepted as the harpist for the Reading Symphony Youth Orchestra and enjoyed 4 years as a member and was privileged to tour with the symphony in Europe during her senior year. At 14 Nichole performed for her first wedding. Nine years later, Nichole has performed and continues to perform for various weddings, ceremonies, services, receptions, benefit concerts, orchestras, recitals, luncheons, private functions, historic sites and church events. Nichole’s love for music led her to continue her education at the collegiate level focusing on her skills as a harpist. Nichole graduated May 9, 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in Music in harp performance. As an accomplished harpist Nichole actively participated with the university symphony and university harp ensemble. In her role as an undergraduate music major Nichole was involved in various vespers programs, chapel services, operas, concerts, recitals, student body programs, as well as collaborated with other musicians in speech and music recitals. Nichole has also had the privilege to participate in master classes with renowned harpists Isabelle Perrin and Carol McLaughlin. Nichole also teaches private lessons within the studio of harpist Emily Waggoner and is presently seeking new students for her private studio. Nichole plans to continue her musical aspirations within the university setting as she continues her education through the pursuance of master’s degree.
