Kela Walton

Delight your guests with beautiful and professional harp music for any occasion. Kela actively performs as a freelance harpist in the Austin area and is versatile in classical, sacred and popular music styles. Kela has helped many brides and grooms choose music for their wedding that reflects their unique personality and desires, whether the ceremony is traditional or contemporary in nature. A wedding music consultation is included in the ceremony price.

Kela is an avid chamber musician and has performed with many orchestras throughout Texas. Her previous solo harp engagements include performing for Governor Rick Perry's 2011 inauguration reception, and a four year position as harpist for tea and holiday brunches at Austin's historic Driskill Hotel. Kela Walton holds a BM in Harp Performance from the University Of Texas At Austin where she studied with Gayle Barrington, as well as a MM in Harp Performance and Pedagogy from the University Of Houston Moores School Of Music where she studied with Houston Symphony harpist Paula Page. Additionally she is an alumnus if the Salzedo School in Camden, Maine where she studied with Alice Chalifoux.
