Harmony Mooney is available to provide harp music in a variety of styles (from Pachelbel's Canon to Hey Jude) for any event: background music for wine tastings, silent auctions, fundraisers, receptions, restaurants, any other special occasion or venue, weddings, orchestras, and ensembles. She has experience playing in many events and ensembles in the Philadelphia area, including the All-Catholic Orchestra, Newark Symphony Orchestra, Newark Chamber Orchestra, Blocks Gala, Audubon Symphony Orchestra, West Chester Harp Ensemble, and the University of Delaware Symphony Orchestra, and is a harp performance student at the University of Delaware.
Harmony Mooney began studying harp at age 12 under the instruction of Melia Repko- Schmauk at the Community Music School (CMS) in Trappe, Pennsylvania. Since then, she has gained experience as a harpist and performer through participation in numerous ensembles. These include the CMS Harp Ensemble, the CMS Chamber Ensemble, the CMS Jazz Ensemble, Spring- Ford High School's Wind Ensemble, the Audubon Symphony Orchestra, The All- Catholic Orchestra, the West Chester Harp Ensemble, and the University of Delaware's Chamber Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, and Wind Ensemble. She has also played with the Blessed Teresa of Calcutta's Youth Ensemble. She was awarded honorable mention in the Tri- County Youth Music Festival and was a scholarship winner for the Afternoon Music Club's Scholarship Competition. Harmony also has experience conducting a harp ensemble and instructing harp students as an assistant harp instructor at Harp in the Mountains Summer Festival. Harmony has experience playing harp for a variety of events, such as weddings, wine tastings, silent auctions, banquets, and restaurants. She has also been requested to play with various orchestras and ensembles. She is continuing her studies as a harpist by pursuing a degree in Music Performance at the University of Delaware, under the instruction of Anne Sullivan.
