Description
Experience counts. Particularly when planning your special event, you want the best when it comes to setting the tone with beautiful music.
Emily Waggoner has delighted audiences with elegant harp music in the South Carolina Upstate for over 15 years. She performs regularly with orchestras in SC, NC and GA and for events like weddings, church services, parties, business functions and recording studios. Current projects include a solo performance for Prince Edward, Earl of Sussex in May, directing a tour of 12 harpists in October, and several solo concerts in November. Emily earned a BA in music in 2001 and a MM in harp performance in 2006. In addition to her performing and recording duo, Duetta (harp and cello), Emily frequently plays with other musicians for events requesting chamber music. She writes and arranges music for many events and can accommodate your special requests. In addition to performance, Emily teaches over 40 students in the Upstate and is currently Director of Harp Studies at Bob Jones University. She has also served as adjunct professor at Clemson University and The Governor's School for the Fine Arts. Emily is a member of The Crescent Music Club, The American Harp Society, Upstate Wedding Malls, and The Historical Harp Society.

Feedback
- Emily was a pleasure to work with. We got everything organized before the wedding. Even though I didn't get a chance to speak with Emily on my actual wedding day (my fault, not hers), she was perfect and great! I would definately recommend Emily to anyone looking for a harpist to perform! -- Sarah S, Landrum, SC, 10/22/2011
- Emily went over and above my expectations. She took extra time out with one of my soloist to practice a song neither one had ever performed. I could not have been happier. I had so many people come up to me and tell me how beautiful the wedding was having the harp being the only musical instrument played. She did a wonderful job and I would recommend her to anyone. Cindy Jones -- Cindy J, Greenville, SC, 4/7/2012
- Emily is a very talented and professional musician. Her music provided the perfect backdrop for the private cocktail party at our gallery. I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking to hire a professional harpist. -- Charlie T, Greenville, SC, 11/30/2010
- My guests LOVED her performance before the ceremony began...she created the perfect ambiance i was looking for. Emily was amazing!!! -- Isabel O, Greenville, SC, 10/18/2010
- Emily made my wedding day worry free in regards to music. She was willing to work with my vocalist before the ceremony to figure out what key she needed to play the songs in. I received so many positive comments concerning her music. She played so beautifully. My only regret is that as the bride, I couldn't hear all the music she played. I would definitely refer her to anyone in need of a harpist. Thank you Emily!!! -- Donna B, Hickory, NC, 9/25/2010
- Due to wedding pressures didn't really get to talk to her much but my guests absolutely raved about her and said that her performance was so soothing so beautiful just one of the best parts of the wedding. I will recommend her to anyone and she truly is a wonderful harp player and a true professional. -- Catherine B, Rutherfordton, NC, 9/11/2010
