About
Diana began playing the harp at the age of five. Born in Washington, DC and raised in Alexandria, VA, she is a trusted professional harpist in the area, where she has performed for thousands of events since 1995.
Ms. Gibbs ushered in 2013 as the featured harpist for Macy's Cherry Blossom Celebration of Music Show, the GW Masonic Memorial's George Washington Birthday Gala, the Global Child Nutrition Foundation's "A Possible Dream" Gala, and the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities Cherry Blossom exhibition opening.
Diana's music speaks to a broad range of audiences, from young children and local brides to Warren Buffet, Melinda Gates, Barron Hilton, and other esteemed members of The Giving Pledge, for whom she was honored to perform.
Cultivated during her 25 years of dedication to the harp, Ms. Gibbs's dynamic music library is in tune with the diverse interests of audiences. From Bach to Led Zeppelin, Diana's distinctive repertoire has something for everyone.

In the recent past, Diana set the stage for a 56th Presidential Inauguration celebration held in the National Archives' Rotunda for the Charters of Freedom. Her music was also spotlighted during the grand opening of the Archives' Treaty of Paris exhibit, as well as for art openings at the Embassy of Russia and the Meridian International Center. She was engaged for a series of events held at designer Max Mara stores in Tysons Galleria and Chevy Chase, and has shared her talent abroad, having performed for children in South Korea.
Ms. Gibbs earned her Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University and her Master of Arts in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University. She works at the Library of Congress, as the Collections Conservation Section's liaison to the Music Division.

"Ms. Gibbs was extremely accomodating and entertaining for this dinner/reception. She anticipates a client's needs perfectly and adjusts well to the venue, making program changes as the event activities play out. Her repertoire is broad based so as to satisfy all musical tastes. In fact, her entertainment engendered very positive comments from many of the guests of our very mixed and age-stratified audience. She is most accomodating and positive with her suggestions, and arrived at the event with well enough time to set up and settle in. In all, I would love to have her again for an event I would host."

"My sister was the one who actually hird Ms. Gibbs. When I arrived at the wedding, Ms. Gibbs was already playing and how she played really set the tone for that day. It was very hot on Father's Day, but hearing the harp was a welcome diversion from that. All of us felt relaxed and focused on the day because of Ms. Gibbs harp. The tone of the harp was calming and not at all overpowering. She played all the selections perfectly. Ms. Gibbs overall performance was outstanding. My sister and husband are happy and I am glad Ms. Gibbs was available to perform. Thank you."
