Description
Would you like unforgettable music for your weddings, receptions, and other special events? Alice Freeman provides classical, popular, and Celtic music on either a pedal harp (orchestra harp) or a traditional Celtic harp. Subtle amplification enables the harps to be easily heard in all outdoor or noisy locations. Sacred music is available for weddings, funerals and other ecclesiastical events. Medieval, Renaissance, and folk music from the British Isles can be performed in period costumes. Programs on the history of the Irish harp, the influence of Irish folk music in America and Saint Hildegard of Bingen have been presented for schools and clubs.
Alice has been a member of the University of Wyoming Symphony Orchestra since 1999 and has played for many community events as a soloist in Wyoming and northern Colorado. She is a current member of the American Harp Society, the World Harp Congress, the International Society of Folk Harpers and Craftsmen, the Representatives Council of the National Standards Board for Therapeutic Musicians, the Scottish Harp Society of America, the Colorado Celtic Harp Society, the Cimbalom World Association (hammered dulcimer) and works for several local health care facilities as a Certified Healing Musician. Alice plays a pedal harp, traditional Celtic folk harp, carbon fiber Celtic harp, or hammered dulcimer, depending on the occasion.
