Steve Shurack

Steve plays elegant, beautiful classical guitar sounds perfect for listening or background music. His wide repertoire of classical music, mixed with jazz, Bossa Nova, pop (like Beatles) and show tunes fits any occasion from weddings, to dinner parties, corporate events, gallery shows, and more. Steve has played and taught guitar full-time since the early 70's, and has a degree in classical guitar performance. His many years of playing a variety of musical styles and different venues make him uniquely prepared to fulfill any musical need. Weddings a specialty! Other instruments (such as flute, violin, and cello) can be added for a chamber ensemble. Or bass, sax, piano, etc. for a jazz group. Steve also plays electric guitar and has a 8-piece band "Sure Thing" with a 1500 song repertoire for parties and events of any size. Steve also owns and is the director of Broadway Music School and has more than 35 music teachers teaching at the school.

I hired Steve to perform with our regular string quartet because the bride wanted a guitarist in addition to the quartet. I am VERY GLAD that I chose Steve. His musicianship is excellent. There are run of the mill guitar players and there are true musicians. Steve is an excellent musician who plays the guitar and plays it well. He plays a huge variety of styles and is very professional. He was prepared and able to handle changes in keys/songs etc. well.
