Pavel Jany has a degree in classical guitar. His solo guitar repertoire consists of large selection of well known classical guitar pieces, holiday music, renditions of popular American jazz standards, and a variety of international guitar music such as Brazilian bossa nova, Spanish flamenco, Argentine tango, and more.
His range of music services include wedding ceremonies, receptions, cocktail hours, and background music for private parties as well as for community and corporate events. Thanks to his great passion for music, extensive performing experience and a diverse repertoire, he can accommodate any type of event and social gathering.
In addition to his solo act, Pavel Jany is frequently performing with his duo or trio including female vocalist, flute, violin, bass, or percussion.
Pavel Jany has a degree in classical guitar and music education, he lives in the Twin Cites since 1991, he often participates in various jazz and international music projects, and he has worked and/or recorded with nationally recognized artists such as singers Lucia Newell, Linda Peterson, Connie Evingson and Regina Williams, pianist Chris Lomheim, percussionist Marc Anderson, and many more. He is also a founder and leader of local bossa nova and Brazilian jazz ensemble Ticket To Brasil, and his list of performances include local as well as national and international events such as The Winnipeg Jazz Festival, MN Orchestra SummeFest, Twin Cities Jazz Festival, Ordway World Stage Festival, Midtown Global Jazz Festival, and many more. Music from his four albums is frequently featured on Jazz 88 KBEM FM, KFAI Radio, as well as on MN Public TV. His PJany Music Productions has been serving Minneapolis/Saint Paul communities since 1998. By providing just the right music for the right occasion, Pavel Jany has helped hundreds of clients turn their special events into everlasting memories.
