Looking forward to an eventful exciting Summer 2013. Hello my name is Jean Charles.
I started music, a child in Catholic 'Chorale'. I absolutely love music in harmony.So at my first opportunity I joined the fanfare of St.Martial,after some time playing the Alto (brass instrument), I settled with the Bflat Clarinette and played clarinet for 5 years of my youth. Admitted at 'Conservatoire National' as a pupil of:Master Depestre Salnave, I Studied 2 years with him and played at various concerts and special occasions in my home town Petion-Ville Haiti.
However at 18 I fell in love with the guitar and had one built for me. I proceeded to study this instrument for a life time. I am now an accomplished classical guitarist (though retired from Corporate America). Adjunct Faculty member at a State College VT.I taught classes of acoustic guitar and individual classical and have conducted many student performances (each semester from 2004 to 2012) at the Campus Theater. Over the years I have trained hundreds of young College students and taught 'Music Appreciation and Music Ensemble.' I have lectured and performed for LLI LifeLongLearningInstitute...etc and give private lessons.
I would now enjoy heading a Guitar department or my own school.
I maintain a wide repertoire ranging from Baroque to the Romantic. Solemn,Classical and dansable music of Ludovic Lamothe. My interpretations are unique poetic.
