About
Hello, my name is Eric Brown. I am a solo guitarist specializing in music for your Wedding Ceremony, Cocktail-Reception or Special Event. I have several Audio and Video Samples plus an extensive Song List available right here on Gigmasters. I am a lifetime musician and a graduate of The University of Southern California Thornton School of Music. I have performed at weddings and events at the Hyatt Huntington Beach, Langham Pasadena, Parker Palm Springs, Surf & Sand Laguna Beach, Balboa Bay Club Newport Beach, and on Carnival Cruise Lines' Paradise Ship. I have also been a featured performer at the Los Angeles and Orange County Bride World Expos. I play a wide variety of music in styles including Classical, Pop, Jazz, Latin, and Top 40. I can play solo instrumental guitar, guitar plus accompanying backing tracks, or guitar plus vocals depending on the mood of the occasion. I provide all my own audio equipment and I always perform at the appropriate volume so that your guests may enjoy the music while still conversing with each other comfortably. I am always on time, attired, and groomed appropriately for the occasion. I also take requests if there is a special song you would like for your event. You will find that my rates are very reasonable and competitive. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Memorial Service

"Eric Brown was the perfect choice for my sons memorial service. He played beautifully while people were being seated, performed a beautiful vocal and guitar rendition of John Lennon's "Imagine" at the end of the service, and played for a short while after the service. He came early and prepared, even bringing audio equipment that we could use during the service, as it was held outside. Eric responded promptly to numerous phone calls and emails during the planning of this day, as this was an incredibly difficult time for our family. Eric's advice and experience I found to be invaluable. "

"One word to describe Eric - STELLAR! I work for a luxury company and we needed to add some ambiance to our dinner party. Eric was extremly professional and more importanty a stellar performer. I would highly recommend him to play at your event. His style is modern and it is obvious he is influenced by Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, amongst others however he is able to play classics also...

Eric and his guitar provided the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and also our cocktail hour. "Eric was excellent and I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a guitarist! He was extremely prompt in responding to my emails and being able to pay him through gigmasters made everything seamless and easy. He showed up to the wedding early so that he had plenty of time to set up and he was dressed exactly as we had asked. On top of the fact that he was extremely professional, his guitar playing exceeded our expectations! He was very friendly and I was later told by some guests that he had asked for requests and was able to play the songs that people wanted to hear. "My husband and I found Eric through Gig Masters and we are so happy we had him at our wedding! His solo guitar during the ceremony was beautiful and the recorded music he played at the reception suited each moment so well. He wasn't the sort of DJ that talked or joked too much into the microphone. He spoke up just the perfect amount and at all the right times, which I really appreciated. And I must say he was very accommodating especially considering I was planning our California wedding while living abroad in South Korea! "Eric performed for the ceremony and cocktail hour at our wedding. It was fantastic! Eric was so professional from start to finish. Our venue was a local destination, and he was willing to travel. He was there extra early to set up. He sent song lists to help us select songs and learned requested songs that that were not already on his list. Our selected songs covered a wide range (vocals/acoustic only) and Eric easily accommodated that, everything from traditional Jewish songs to indie music, Beatles, Johnny Cash, and Coldplay. The music was beautiful and perfect. We had so many comments from our guests who were beyond impressed with his talent. Highly recommended!"

"The day of the wedding it was raining buckets all day. We had to change a lot of different things at the last minute as the wedding was scheduled to be all outdoors. Eric arrived 3 hours ahead of time and was very accommodating as plans went from plan A to plan B to plan C. At the end of the day Eric's beautiful guitar music and the falling rain on the tent made for a special duet and the wedding was beautiful especially because of the rain."
