ABOUT MY MUSIC -- I have a wide repertoire of standards, pop songs, and jazz tunes, and can tailor my song selection to a variety of different events. If background music is needed for dining or cocktail parties, I can stay with instrumental guitar tunes, and some light vocals, featuring mainly old standards and jazz. For more upbeat events, I add in more pop tunes and vocals, and bring in my "magic harmony box" to add in extra vocal parts on many songs. WEDDINGS -- In addition to my list of traditional and popular wedding songs, I am always glad to add songs to my wedding repertoire that are requested by the bride and groom. I can provide all of the musical needs for your special event, including background music at the reception dinner, and pre-service music and solos for the ceremony. HOLIDAY PARTIES -- When the holiday season rolls around, I brush up on the songs of the season (secular and/or religious, depending on the occasion), and enjoy entertaining at Christmas parties, where singing along is strongly encouraged. ABOUT MYSELF -- I have had a varied musical career over the past 40 years. After receiving my Bachelor of Music Education degree with an emphasis in guitar, I spent several years teaching public school music and private lessons. I then moved into the corporate world for my primary bread-winning efforts, but stayed very involved in music, playing in a variety of jazz, rock, and country bands, singing in church and community choral groups, and solo performances for weddings and special occasions. But the most exciting news: I have recently retired from my "day job" and looking forward to playing LOTS more music! WHERE TO HEAR ME -- If you are in the Sacramento area, there are plenty of opportunities to hear me play in person, as I have quite a few performances at various area Farmers' Markets.
