The Railbirdz are a 4 piece funk and groove band based on Tucson, AZ. The band covers songs from popular artists like Average White Band, Maceo Parker, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, as well as regional favorites like the Boneshakers, DoctorFunk, and Liquid Soul. There's one thing in common with ALL Railbirdz tunes - they groove! What makes the Railbirdz different from a lot of cover bands is that the Birdz like to do "covers of covers". The tune "I'm a Man" that Chicago made famous in the late 60's was actually written by Stevie Winwood when he was with the Spencer Davis band - and the Railbirdz to a cover flavored by the band Doctorfunk. Remember the Ohio Players tune "Skin Tight"? How about a Wolfman Washington version of that? The musicians who make up the Railbirdz are seasoned professionals with years of experience and who have played thousands of shows all over the country.
