DESCRIPTION:
Back In The Day is an eight piece group formed by former NFL player and Executive Larry Lee. Mr. Lee spent 17 years in the NFL 8 as a player and 9 as an executive. He played for the Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins, and Denver Broncos. He participated in SBXXII as a member of the Broncos. He later went on to become Vice-President of the Detroit Lions for 9 years. If that is not enough he has been a professional bass player for more than 25 years. After his NFL days he got his fingers back into shape and formed a group and named it Larry Lee and Back In The Day. In its short existence BITD has comprised a resume' that is second to none. With 3 Motor City Music Awards nominations for the Best R and B band under its belt along with Larry being named Best Funk/Urban instrumentalist of the year 06 BITD has set a new benchmark for professional high energy corporate bands. BITD was designed to compete with any band on the planet and I do mean any band. With members from some of the greatest bands ever BITD is loaded with big time talent and experience. BITD is comprised of former members from The Temptations, Spinners, 4 Tops, Parliament/Funkadelic, and gospel Hall of Fame Inductees Bill Moss and the Celestials. BITD in just 4 years has shared the bill with Brian McKnight, Isaac Hayes, The O'Jays, Isley Brothers, Ryan Cabrerra, Los Lobos, Average White Band, Rare Earth, Smokey Robinson, Little Richard, Morris Day and the Time, Boyz II Men, Gap Band, EnVogue, and Ohio Players just to name a few.
