Tracy Hamlin Band Jazz Band from Washington, DC

Tracy Hamlin is no stranger to live performance and has been performing for more than 20 years. Hamlin's career is built on a solid musical education foundation, which has played an integral part in her success. She developed her classical music skills learning how to sing in three languages - French, German and Italian - at the Baltimore School of the Arts. She topped off her musical training by studying at the prestigious Peabody Preparatory School of Music. Tracy has performed internationally as the lead vocalist for smooth jazz group Pieces of a Dream and is currently the lead background vocalist for Disco Diva Gloria Gaynor. Since joining Gloria in 2010, Tracy has performed in over 25 countries around the world from Russia to Brazil. An accomplished singer songwriter in her own rite, Tracy has sung her music to sold out crowds at the well respected Blues Alley in DC and Sweet Lorraine's in New Orleans. She has also recently released her sophomore album entitled "Better Days," which is available on iTunes, CD Baby and Amazon. What makes an evening of music with Tracy Hamlin unique is the artistry that she brings into the songs she sings. Rather than singing a watered down acoustic version of a song; Tracy delivers the intangibles –the soul of the song which makes for a truly special listening experience. It is Tracy's musical soul that permeates through to all the songs she performs whether they are her own or a cover of someone elses. The influences of her heroes (Renee Diggs, Chaka Khan, Natalie Cole, Stephanie Mills, Anita Baker, Whitney Houston to name just a few) are evident in her style and musical delivery. She covers a large amount of the most popular and loved songs from the 70's up through today. Upon request she can also perform some original tunes for an especially unique experience.
