Chloe started acting, singing and playing the violin when she was a little girl. After years of acting and singing school and many acting shows, Chloe decided to make music, especially singing, her priority. She studied during three years at the vocal jazz academy of Sara Lazarus and at the same time she took composing and piano classes with Joe Malcolm at the Bill Evans Piano Academy in Paris. During those years, Chloe started to write and compose her first songs.
Chloe participated in different workshops, one organized by the guitarists Pierrick Hardy and Olivier Cahours in Crest, France (2009) and one by the singer Claudia Solal in Paris, France (2011).
Chloe performs in duet (guitar/singing or piano/singing), trio (piano, bass, singing) and quartet (piano, electronic bass, drums, singing) in several locations and clubs in Paris such as Le Sunset, Le Sunside, Les 7 Lezards, Le Franc Pinot, Le Reservoir, Le Studio des Islettes, L'Hôtel Murano and 9 Jazz Club… She also performed live on the radio in the emission Jazzbox on Radio Aligre.
Chloe's great strength is to transmit with a clear and sensible voice, with a true artistic talent and a troubling emotion.
Whether she interprets great jazz classics, bossa nova, French songs, or she offers her own compositions, she transports us in her poetic and loving universe. She enchants us with the refreshing and dreamy way she has to look at life.
Her first album “Coeur de Francaise” (heart of a French girl) is a cheerful mix of famous French songs and her own compositions arranged with a Jazz rythm. She chose a very original trio using only one piano and drums. She is accompanied by the talented pianist Elie Chemali (Grand corps malade, Cheb Kaled, Mamami Keita…) and the groovy drummer Félix Sabal-Lecco (Manu Dibango, Peter Gabriel, Herbie Hancok…).
COEUR DE FRANCAISE:
Her first album "Chloe coeur de Francaise" (Chloe frenchy heart), made between Paris and New York, is a subtile cocktail of french music shacked with sensual jazz, an encounter of exception out of space and time with Elie Chemali at the piano and Félix Sabal-Lecco at the drums.
For this album, desired for many years, Chloe chose to make a tribute to french music. she revisits titles of great figures of french culture including : Serge Gainsbourg, Claude Nougaro, Marguerite Duras, Blossom Dearie and Benjamin Biolay. Truly creative, the singer proposes as well to discover "SI" a title of her own composition.
This first opus came from the heart, simply, instinctively, and slowly...
The great complicity between the singer and her talented musicians is echoing in each title.
Elie Chemali, with whom Chloe dreamed of recording since always, became since a few years her true music mate.
Felix Sabal-Lecco, an artist who Chloe has admired for a long time, was the perfect fit, bringing balance to this tight duo.
Together, they invented a musical universe: a sweet mix of jazz and French songs where joy and poetry meet thanks to the soft voice of the singer.
Always smiling, the enchanting singer associated to the musical harmony of her accomplices invites us to a relaxation that is refreshing and incites us to dance along. An album just like a summer breeze.
Coeur de Francaise came out on September 17th, 2012, with a superb concert of the charming trio at “Sunside”: a mythical place for parisian jazz.
It is sold at Fnacs Forum, Ternes, Le Havre, and Free Music, but also on the websites of the Sunset/Sunside, the eshop of Bensimon, and all downloading plateforms such as iTunes, Amazon, Virgin...
A true musical “caresse” infinitely soft, to discover, to savour, but mostly not to be missed...
