Valerie and her band Bon Chic Bon Genre currently offer a show entitled: "Souvenirs: 50 years of French and American Signature Songs", which are introduced by decades or by the original artists who made them famous. The show is full of interesting historical and situational anecdotes and Valerie thoroughly enjoys going down memory lane with the audience. Valerie has performed at private parties, at the Metropolitan Room in New York City, on the Dennis Bono show in Las Vegas, at Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY, at the Connetquot Public Library in Bohemia, New York, for the New Rochelle Arts Center and at UPENN. She has also been a guest vocalist at various events at Hofstra University.
Some of the songs include Josephine Baker's "J'ai deux Amours", Nat King Cole "Let there be Love", Edith Piaf's "La Vie en Rose", "Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien", Frank Sinatra's "The Summer Wind", Eartha Kitt's "C'est si Bon", and many other well known French and American songs. The band released their first CD entitled 'A la Mode" in 2008.
