Shamrocks In The Wind Celtic Band from Little River, SC

Shamrocks In The Wind is an highly professional and experienced Irish and general folk ballad duo currently based in the Northwest. We travel throughout the US and Europe. We perform folk music in general with a strong specialization in Irish, Scottish and Australian music. We also do many sea songs and lots of 'fun pub songs.' We encourage the audience to participate by singing, clapping, or dancing along. We have been performing as a duo for more than 15 years throughout the Northwest with an occasional short National tour. Together we have have over 50 years or performing experience. Our goal is to help keep traditional music alive and well in the United States. Recently we have opened concerts for several national and international acts including 'The Kingston Trio,' Glen Yarbrough, and 'The Wolfetones.' We have performed for Irish Festivals and National Conventions in the Northwest as well as having performed in Jamaica and Ireland. Although we primarily perform as a duo, we have other musicians available for events that want a bigger group. We can add bodhran, concertina, fiddle, penny whistle and keyboards when needed. We are in Florida for Jan/Feb 2009 We are in Pennsylvania and New Jersey March and April 2009 We are in the Northwest (Oregon and Washington)May, June, July, August 2009 We will be in Virgina late August/September. We will be on vacation September through early December 2009. December 2009 thru March 2010 we will be in Florida.
