I have much experience on flute and on other instruments and have performed extensively over the last 25 years. Recently I have performed flute for the following events and organizations: Wildacres Flute Retreat, Salisbury Symphony Board Meeting, Salisbury Symphony After School Strings, Salisbury Symphony Society Symphony Guild Christmas Tour of Homes and Rose Garden Tours, Arts Council Light Up the Night, Summer Reading Challenge Banquet and Reception, Rowan County Honors Chorus, and many others. The flute is a exceptionally versatile instrument, perfect for every type of event from small gatherings to large concerts. Karen Franks is a classically trained concert flutist with repertoire in a wide variety of styles. Karen can perform solo, with piano accompaniment, or in a duet or chamber group with other musicians. Her experiences include accompanying church and school choirs, solo and accompanied at weddings, solo and accompanied at receptions, banquets, tours, and other events where beautiful music adds to the refined atmosphere.
