About

This Chicago based Rumba Flamenca group plays both instrumental and vocal music. The style is most easily identified with the world famous Gypsy Kings. The group has a vast repertoire of original music. However, they can also play anything from the Gypsy Kings repertoire along with a few other covers.

Alberto Alvarez, vocalist and guitarist, has lived and performed in the south of France, where the Gypsy Rumba was partly born and developed. Alberto has even had the privelage to join the Gipsy Kings as a guest on Stage on a few occasions.....
Gypsy Influence can start as a duo or can be a full 4-6 piece group...*Additional members can include a percussionist, drummer, bass guitarist, violinist.*

"We have performed at all types of events, from wedding to theaters to large outdoor concerts, and we always accommodate to the environment and setting. Wether you need us to blend into the background to give your event a certain exotic or classy atmosphere or you need us to start the rumba dance part, we will gladly adjust to your vision for the night!"

David Chiriboga can also be hired as a solo guitarist for any type of private events. If your budget is small or you have a very intimate gathering, this can be a perfect match.

David and Alberto are the principle guitarists represented here. However, they work with a few other guitarist on a regular basis, with just as much professionalism and talent as they carry. In any case that one of them is not available, they will let you know beforehand. However, it would not change the sound or quality.
