Flamenco y Sol is the New York's leading Rumba Flamenco band, specializing in the authentic sound of the Gipsy Kings and traditional Flamenco to create the perfect atmosphere for any occasion. During 20 years of experience, we have toured throughout the U.S. presenting traditional performances of flamenco dance, music and, singing while often including audience participation. Flamenco & Sol has also presented a diverse range of music, jazz and world music. Some of the major events our company has performed at have been weddings, corporate events, restaurants and private parties. While we are based in New York, we are able to travel to any region in the U.S. to present the kind of production that will accommodate all our client's needs. Members of Flamenco y Sol have performed at major locations, including the Joyce Theater, the Revel Casino Hotel, La Mama, the Iati Theater, the Metropolitan Opera, Town Hall and the White House. The artists - in full, colorful, traditional Flamenco costumes - perform and explain the intricacies of Flamenco dance, song, and its rhythms. Participation from the audience is essential.  The objectives of this program are: to show the origins of the flamenco dance, song and music; to demonstrate and relate the relationships between Spain and the Latin American cultures; and present a high quality, entertaining multilingual program.
