What are the Momojiri Girls?! Cute, fun, sexy, elegant, and overflowing with talent, Momojiri Girls create performances that blend Eastern Belly Dancing, Contemporary Geisha Theatrics, titillating Fire Extravaganzas, and risqué Burlesque Productions inspired by the Parisian cafés of the Belle Époque. On stage or at an event dancing alongside the guests, Momojiri Girls produce, choreograph and perform high end Contemporary Cabarets tailored specifically to their client's needs. Whether Momojiri Girls are belly dancing through the crowd – their sensual movements and exotic costumes luring the guests to stand and dance with them – or they are on stage performing a Burlesque number that finds nostalgia in a more elegant form of erotica, their movement and joy of entertaining will seduce the audience. And when Momojiri Girls perform their thrilling and captivating fire dances, as both bodies and flames writhe, undulate and flicker almost as one, audiences will be mesmerized, transcending into a blissful trance! Momojiri Girls fuse their multiple talents to create spectacularly engaging musical numbers that leave both hosts and guests longing for more! So it's a good thing that "encore" is in their repertoire! Hiring Momojiri Girls is to bring "cute, fun, sexy, and elegant" to your event or party. Who are the Momojiri Girls?! Momojiri Girls are the duo performers Kaoru and Masea. Born under the same star – on the same day of the same year in Western Japan – Kaoru and Masea knew they were spiritual sisters meant to perform with each other the first time they met. Each had studied color therapy, belly dance, and music, chose New York City to be their home ... and both loved dressing up in Betsey Johnson clothes! Masae and Kaoru came up with the idea of Momojiri Girls during a joint birthday party and performance at Public Assembly in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in 2010. Bringing in other dancers they created an evening inspired by rainbow colors, the French Can Can, and contemporary burlesque. Playing to a crowd of more than a hundred fans longing for more, Masae and Kaoru realized that Momojiri Girls was born. Momojiri girls have also been celebrated by many well known photographers as "Pin Up" girls and immortalized in paintings by the artist John Wellington. They have both appeared in Off-Broadway productions as well as performing as Momojiri Girls at The Drom, Public Assembly, The Plaza Hotel, Mandarin Oriental Hotel, R Bar, the Cell Theatre, Webster Hall, and at corporate events and openings. Kaoru and Masea, as the Momojiri Girls want to share their great talent to bring joy, passion, laughter and dance to enliven your event and make it not only wildly entertaining, but unforgettable!
