We, LaNetra Halcromb Stovall and Kathy Carlis (sisters), started Weddings by L & K in August of 2002. Our experience goes back to 1996. We assisted close friends and family members with the planning and coordinating of their weddings. We felt that would be a good place to start since they are usually your best critics. We started attending as many weddings as we could to see how much organazation was involved. There were several things that stood out when we were observing weddings; the majority of them didn't start on time, and at the receptions, guests and the wedding party looked lost, not sure what to do next. We know what it costs to plan a wedding and reception and felt that the “Brides” deserve the best, since this is their “special day.” After observing some of the things that could have been avoided with the help of a Wedding Coordinator, we decided it was our time to get started on our business. We strive hard in specializing in “stress free” weddings. Depending on your individual needs, we offer several different Wedding and Anniversary packages. We also offer a free one hour consultation. Our goal for everyone involved is, to sit back and allow you to relax and enjoy the fun times, and let us handle the details. Our mission is to be “receptive” to our client needs, and provide the “best” customer service possible. We now have a solid vendor portfolio, several ads with different advertisers, participate in Bridal Shows yearly with “Wedding Ideas” and have an excellent referral list.
