I have been entertaining professionally for over 25 years as a solo acoustic performer. I sing with clear, dynamic vocals over 3 1/2 octaves.
I play GUITAR,UKULELE and HARMONICA (some piano) and I whistle, too. I perform a large and diverse repertoire -- ALL types of music: Wedding Music, Americana/Roots, Blues, Folk, Classic Rock, Classic Country, 50's and 60's popular tunes, Standards from 1920-1940, Children's Music, Victorian c1850-1915, Christmas music, Original Music. (My BIG SONG LIST of over 700 SONGS can be found on my personal website.)
WEDDING MUSIC! Ceremony music, Cocktail hours and Receptions. I offer traditional and contemporary music, Love Songs, Instrumentals, Vocals -- whatever is needed to make your special day PERFECT. BEACH WEDDINGS are a specialty! I am happy to learn music just for your event.
INSTRUMENTAL: events such as weddings, restaurants, or corporate parties, I mostly play finger-style classical/ambient music.

VINTAGE MUSIC: One of my specialties is performing lovely Victorian era parlor music (1880-1915). I also perform vintage JAZZ from the 1920's-1950's, solo or in a duo/trio.
CHRISTMAS: Performing vintage, contemporary and traditional Christmas music for your holiday gatherings.
DUO/TRIO/JAZZ: I also play in a Duo with a percussionist, THE HOWDY DUO. Or SAVOIRE FAIRE, a duo/trio with a seasoned jazz guitarist or jazz pianist and/or bass player. Please specify in your request.
I provide QUALITY SOUND EQUIPMENT for your event -- a Bose L1 Model II system. I also have a BATTERY OPERATED PA for outdoor events and beach weddings when there is no electricity available.

"Susan played and sang for our members' networking reception. For this entertainer, I received many more than the usual number of compliments. The fact that people are networking, talking and meeting new members, can often be distracting to the entertainer and just as often the members don't notice the singer in the backgroud. It wasn't the case this time. Susan performed well; the audience felt comfortable visiting with each other but I also noted that everyone was also paying attention and enjoying the singing. Her choices were extemely appropriate contributions to make our event a success. Susan was very cooperative and we would definitely engage her again."
