GRACE Circus Performer from Orlando, FL

1970s (not a typo): trained and danced with ballet company 1980s (still not a typo): circus showgirl and musical theatre dancer 1990s: aerial acts at dinner theatre and night club 2000s: founder, director, instructor of youth circus present: aerial hoop act in my 50s! I've been in performing arts and entertainment for decades. As a teen, I danced with Festival Ballet of Rhode Island. As a young adult, I toured with Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus throughout the United States and Japan. I studied musical theatre in New York City and went on to perform in musicals in Rhode Island and New York. I created and performed an aerial hoop act and a single trapeze act at Asian Adventure Dinner Show in Orlando. I had a solo Spanish web act for a year at The Beacham in downtown Orlando. In 2001, I became involved with Cirque du Soleil's outreach program, receiving instructor training in circus skills. The experience of working with youth led me to start a traveling youth circus school which is in its eighth year. Two years ago, I returned to the aerial world as a freelance artist.
