I learned to sing with my Mother in Church. Around age 9 I taught myself to play the Guitar. I have played Bluegrass for over 40 years but I also like other kinds of music. I play the guitar, banjo and some Mandolin and bass, I also sing lead vocals in the band. I started the orginal “Georgia Grass” Bluegrass Band in 1973 and we played for many Shows and events in the southeast. After we disbanded I joined A group called “Bluegrass Fever” as the Banjo player and also sang with this group. I still perform with them when they have a show to do. I played several years with a group called “The Oldcrossroads Band” I also played in a group Called “Shade Tree Bluegrass” I also played Banjo and sang with Grass Backardz. I have Promoted several Bluegrass Festivals. I am the President & CEO of The Southeastern Bluegrass Association. I also host the Marietta SEBA Chapter. I am A member of The Atlanta Society Of Entertainers and In 2009 I was given the honor of being inducted Into the “Atlanta Country Music Hall Of Fame” Bluegrass has truly touched my life.
