DESCRIPTION:
Black tie or blue denim. The focus is on great songs, especially those classic Frank Sinatra tunes for dancing, receptions, or just listening. For a business event, reunion, house concert, backyard party, or a concert event, It's lots of my compositions mixed in with modern classics like John Denver, Eagles, Beatles, and Buffett. It's "party" music with a blues-y baritone, backed by classical guitar, 12 string, banjo, harmonica and various weapons of mass percussion. The music mix is eclectic. My play list includes bunches of popular favorites, classics from the golden age of folk music, about 100 of my own compositions, and specialty tunes for St Patrick's Day, Scottish ceilleighs, and special Christmas and 4th of July programs. I've been the "house band" in Blowing Rock for ten years with special park programs and hosted a variety show on WSGE-FM for two years. I've emceed over 100 events ranging from business meetings, art openings, community events, and reunions. With songs about hippy cowboys and ax murderers, I'll keep your audience smiling. Special requests too. I played a party for a couple of ladies who were honoring their Dad and, at their request, learned TO SIR WITH LOVE. Nice touch. Hope to hear from you so you can hear from me.
