• If you're undecided about which Elvis Impersonator to hire- don't be. Hire John Jensen! He's FABULOUS, and does a wonderful job. I hired him for my mother's 1950's Themed 65th Surprise birthday party in Dec. '06 for around 120 people, and I was SO PLEASED! His wife Karen was very accomodating and a pleasure to work with as far as scheduling and setting everything up how we wanted. John was punctual, VERY professional, friendly and looked FANTASTIC! He came dressed and ready to go in a 50's era Elvis style outfit, which looked really cool! His voice was amazing- he sounds so much like Elvis that if you close your eyes, you'd swear "The King" was there in the room with you. His dance moves were EXCELLENT, and he even took the time to get down on one knee and sing personally to several of the older ladies in the room during his performance- they LOVED it! When John sang some of the up tempo songs from Elvis's 50's era, he had everybody on their feet and dancing in the aisles. John does a super job of getting people involved in his show, which I feel is a crucial part of a successful party. Not only that, he stayed and sang a few extra songs for us as everyone was having such a great time at no extra cost. He sang several songs to my mother and worked in personal details about her during his performance, which was a lovely touch. He also added a couple songs that some of us had never heard of that Elvis sang, and we all enjoyed hearing them- he even told the stories behind the songs, which we all found extremely interesting- especially the die-hard Elvis fans who were there! After his performance, EVERYONE in attendance asked me where I found him and wanted to get his contact details for their next party. We had several things planned for her party- a computerized slide show about her life, a live DJ for dancing and karaoke, as well as John's performance, but I must say that John was THE HIT of the party! He stuck around and chatted with everyone who wanted to meet him- which were quite a few people, as all of them were so impressed by him, and he was gracious to everyone and I heard nothing but excellent feedback from ALL of our guests. I would definitely hire him again. My mother couldn't have been more happy with John's "Hail to the King" show. She was in tears after he finished singing, as I think he was so much like the real Elvis that it took her back to her high school days and really brought back some great memories for her. We invited all of her high school girlfriends who she keeps in touch with and they ALL absolutely thought that John's show was amazing and complimented me over and over again on how much fun they had watching him perform. My 88 year old grandmother was there and she loved it too! (She thought he was a complete gentleman, and loved his voice.)
