I have been studying Egyptian style Raqs Sharki for 12 years and performing semi-professionally for the last 3. I have performed in cafes, restaurants and ballrooms in Texas, California, Florida, Maryland and New York, New York. I specialize in Beledi, Folkloric, and Cabaret in the Egyptian tradition. I have access to other highly skilled performers who can assist me in providing an authentic Zeffah (complete with requisite Shamadan dancer at the lead). My dance style is an interesting blend of golden-age classic style (think Taheya Carioca and Samia Gamal) and modern influences from the current superstars of Egypt such as Lucy, Fifi Abdo, Dina, Diana Tarkan, Tito, and Sahra Saeeda. I do NOT perform at MALE-only events. This art form was not intended for a MALE only audience and I honor that with my performances.
