The Sheps is a true R&B acappella group that consists of five gentlemen. One from New York and four from Central New Jersey. Tommmie A. Shider, brother of famed Gary Shider of Parliment/Funkadelic, Richie Camacho, Charles Coleman, Johnny Barlow and Tommy Lockhart. Our website is "thesheps.com" The group digs deep into the roots of R&B music to perform songs that other acapella groups do not. We enjoy singing this style of music and enjoy listening and performing with other acappella groups now on the scene. We also perform standard R&B classics as well to appeal to all listeners. We are truly committed to keeping the R&B sound and of the fifties alive! The group has performed in posh establishments such as the Paper Mill Playhouse,the Sands Hotel in Atlantic City, Radio City Music Hall and the Continental Airlines Arena. We have had the pleasure to share the stage with R&B pioneers such as Pookie Hudson & the Spaniels, The Chantels, The Moonglows, Earl Lewis & the Channels, Johnny Maestro & the Brooklyn Bridge and many others.

- I hired The Sheps for my dad's 65th birthday bash as a surprise. The guys were so sweet and kind, easy to deal with and very accommodating to any request I had! They showed up on time and even though I had to delay the performance a bit, they were very professional. Their performance was AMAZING!!! The harmonies were outstanding and the lead vocals were stellar. The performance made the party totally unforgettable. Everyone was singing, clapping, and even dancing!
