Description

Trumpet player Bags Howard performs with a variety of dixieland, jug band, blues and jazz groups with some of the most talented and exciting musicians in the Baltimore- Washington area. The Riverside Carnival Band is Bags' traditional jazz band. Named for Mardi Gras, it can be a full seven man traditional jazz band for large parties/dances or a duet or trio for smaller settings. Barrelhouse Brawl is a partnership with pianist Joel Bailes that plays red hot blues, roots jazz and New Orleans gospel. The All New Genetically Altered Jug Bad features Bags banjoist Ed Light doing hilarious novelty tunes from a platform of washboard man Ron Goad and Gutbucketeer extrodinaire Jim Bunch. PA systems are provided for large or smaller venues or the music may be enjoyed acoustically.

Feedback

  • They were the life of the party - our Mardi Gras theme - 70 th bday party for our father was a blow out of a good time and the band kicked it into full gear with fun music and Bourbon Street dancing - we are trying to think and plan for another party to get them back!!! Bravo -- Troy B, Rockville, MD, 5/30/2009
  • We had them for a Mardi Gras Theme event and Bags Howard's band was the highlight of our event. I highly recommend them. -- Kathy A, Cockeysville, MD, 7/15/2006
