This band performed in "Arthur II", starring Dudley Moore and Liza Minelli, and a number of times at The Showboat Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City. The band also appeared at Manhattan's famous Red Blazer jazz club evry week for 24 consecutive years. On clarinet is jazz legend Sol Yaged, of Metropole and Central Plaza fame. On drums is Steve Little, formerly of the Duke Ellington and Count Basie bands. On piano and trombone is Herb Gardner from the Eddie Condon band. Leader Bob Cantwell made the cover of jazz publication "The Mississippi Rag" in 2003. The band consists of 6 pieces plus an optional gal singer.

Bob Cantwell is a superb musician and entertainer. We were asking for something a little different: musical support for a "Mardi Gras" church service. He and his band were superb at this, too--he got us dancing in the pews! We are already planning next year when we'll invite him again!

We were extremely pleased with the band's performance as were our guests. We had selected the band because it played New Orleans style dixieland music and true to form, one of the band members even led a second line parade. Their music was great and we would heartily recommend them.
