Steve Waddington sings Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Nat "King" Cole, Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond, Johnny Rivers, Elvis and a variety of other voices...and he sounds JUST LIKE them...including all the mannerisms and character of the original artists! A TRUE Multi-Tribute Artist!
He is THE Dean Martin Tribute! In fact, Deana Martin (Dean's daughter) recently exclaimed "...we LOVE how you honor Dad's songs with such love and respect. You're not just an imitator, you are a true, honest tribute!"
One of Johnny Cash's California relatives recently remarked "...you sound more like Johnny Cash than J.R. did!" ('J.R.' was Johnny Cash's birth-name, it was the Air Force that gave him the name 'John', and Sun Records' Sam Phillips made it 'Johnny'...but to family he was always "J.R.")
And people are RAVING about Steve's Neil Diamond Tribute...even the one's that don't particularly care for ALL of Neil Diamond's songs...because Steve concentrates a little more on the early, more uptempo hits..."and he looks good in a sparkly shirt!"
He is currently co-starring as "Dino" in "A Tribute to Martin and Lewis" as well as "The Rat Pack Encore". For the last seven years he has been one of the featured headline performers and co-MC at Hollywood's 'Feast of San Gennaro' (aka the Italian Festival) on the JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE stage, and has performed for many functions and benefits for "The Sons of Italy" and various Italian festivals and organizations. When it comes to his portrayal of Dean Martin, all the mannerisms, the voice, the wry humor and charming playfulness combine to make him one of the top professionals in his field. He sings in Italian AND he's genuinely funny! Close your eyes, and you'll almost swear it was Dino singing all his hits. Open your eyes, and you won't believe how much fun you'll have watching this entertainer create the illusion of one of our most beloved entertainment icons. No other performer even comes close.
With decades of experience in casinos, night clubs. restaurants, festivals, cruise ships, private parties and corporate events, he's the top pick for show producers, event planners and agents alike...BUT THERE IS SO MUCH MORE TO THIS TALENTED PERFORMER...READ ON...
He also has his own unique show, "From Rat Pack to Rock & Roll", where he salutes Dino, Sinatra, Cole, Darin, Bennett, etc, and then grabs his guitar (he's an accomplished guitarist!) and salutes the legendary Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond, Elvis, Johnny Rivers, Buddy Holly, the Everly Bros, Rick Nelson, Roy Orbison, and his hiarious-yet-spot-on spoofs of Conway Twitty, Bob Dylan, Gordon Lightfoot, Donovan, the early BeeGees, the "hippy-dippy sixties", and much more!
He's an exteremly energetic, talented performer who sounds just like his intended targets...and he PROVES it 15-25 times each month in live performances with his backing band. HOWEVER, unlike many other quote/unquote "tribute" performers, he does NOT claim to be "a man of a thousand voices"...he's a guy that just happens to do about "a dozen-or-so" voice characterizations, and he does them better than anyone! PLUS...he can adapt the show to incorporate as few, or as many, tributes as needed. Just want "an evening with Dino"? No problem! Or "the Johnny Cash Tribute Show"? Great! Or just "The Hits of Neil Diamond"? Let's do it! Maybe an evening of vintage rock and rockabilly? Perfect! Or any combination thereof! Any size band or tracks! Anything from a quick 15 min show to a full 2 1/2 hour concert!!
