Groove Place is a ten-piece horn band that performs a wide variety of music including Dance, R&B, Funk, Soul, Motown, Rock, Blues, Big Band, Jazz and Latin. We feature a dedicated front male and female vocalist, a hot four-piece horn section consisting of sax, two trumpets, and trombone; combined with a rocking rhythm section of keyboard, guitar, bass and drums. Having worked throughout the Mid-Atlantic States for the past seven years, Groove Place has developed into a polished, extremely entertaining, high-energy dance party band determined to captivate the crowd at your special event. Our diverse song repertoire and experience make us a leader in the Philadelphia wedding and private party arena. As you already probably know, finding an excellent horn band at a reasonable price is like finding a needle in a haystack. It is a jungle out there with so many bands at varying sizes and rates. How do you know what is right for you and what is reasonable or overpriced?

Why us? We are solely owned and operated and are not part of a larger conglomerate. This means you deal directly with the bandleader and save on the overhead cost found within many larger entertainment entities. Our goal is to provide excellent entertainment at a reasonable cost. • Groove Place was incredible! We heard tons of compliments from our guests. They had people on the dance floor before dinner was even served and they were fantastic at interacting with the crowd. They were very flexible, even playing for an extra hour when asked mid-reception. They managed the set list to keep the crowd dancing plus included our favorite songs in the mix. Dana was super responsive through the planning process; a huge help as we planned our Pennsylvania wedding from Atlanta. I highly recommend Groove Place! • While planning our wedding we knew that having a great band is really the most important aspect of a wedding reception. Groove Place completely exceeded our expectations. • Let me begin by saying that my wife and I are music nerds. Dana and his team were extremely kind and considerate. They offered to let me play a song with the band, learned four songs and helped us craft a set list that hit all the right notes. They sounded as good as or better than any of the bands we ever looked at; and I’m including bands that cost FIVE TIMES as much. • The Groove Place performed for my nephews wedding this past month. They were absolutely magnificent. A family member said he had not danced in years, but the music moved him to dance. • This group was a pleasure to work with from the moment we met. They took our "Havana" theme and hired a few extra singers to create the sound we were looking for. • We just had our wedding on the 3rd of Nov 2007, and if it wasn't for Groove Place the 3rd of Nov, would of came and went like any other wedding. Bottom line they made that night kick ass. It is a sight to see when 90% of the guests are up and dancing BEFORE they even got their food. No one had to tell them to get up and dance, they just couldn't resist. Unbelievably friendly, professional, talented, and really just there for you to make it a special night.
