All 5 members sing and with 2 lead singers (male & female) , the vocal harmonies are impeccable. Deja Blu's music is a danceable mix of the very best of Classic Rock, Contemporary Rock, Motown, Soul, Blues & Swing with a kick of country. Our song list is extensive & covers 180 songs from over 5 DECADES OF MUSIC, from the 60's to today's current hits. Best of all ~ YOU pick the songs you want to hear from our play list. Don't see your favorite song? The band will glad take special requests to learn songs not currently on our play list.
LIVE CERMONY/COCKTAIL/DINNER SETS-We can also provide you with live cocktail/dinner sets filled with instrumental/light vocals and jazz. Now- offering the band as a 5, 6 or 7-piece band. Add some sizzle & soul to your night~ If you like the sound horns - we can expand into a 6 piece band our sax player. Dave also sings and plays flute and clarinet. Looking for more of an acoustic feel? Add our acoustic guitarist- Mark Todd on guitar and additional vocals. Lots of options for ceremony, cocktail, dinner and the reception.
We can rock the house with classics from The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Santana, Jefferson Airplane or a funky Motown tune. Does your taste run more of the 70's, 80', 90's and Top 40? From Cee Lo Green, Kelly Clarkson, Maroon 5, Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, Peter Gabriel, Ben Harper, The Bangles, Blondie, Fleetwood Mac, Pearl Jam, Bonnie Raitt and Norah Jones to Rascal Flatts, John Mellencamp and Bon Jovi- we know how to keep the dance floor filled the entire night.
Deja Blu is a professional dance band. We are independently managed and we carry liability insurance. We are not an agency nor are we affiliated with any in town. We feel that this give us the freedom to work directly with our clients and really get to know them AND allows us to keep our rates very reasonable.
We have been performing for over 11 years playing numerous weddings, corporate events, private parties and summer festivals for crowds as intimate as 50 -all the way up to over 3,000 in attendance. The members of Deja Blu have played together for over 6 years. We do not play in any other bands, thus the musicianship and vocal harmonies are tight.
Liz Valles is our lead singer & manager and will work with you to coordinate the event making sure that everything goes according to how you envision the night. Being a business woman, Liz knows the importance of communication and follow-through. "Deja Blu and Liz in particular were fantastic at our wedding. They worked with me and my husbands music taste. They were fun and upbeat, and even allowed my musically inclined guests to sing and play with them. Through the whole experience from first talking to the actually day Liz was organized, kind, creative and professional. In no other part of my wedding did I give 5 stars in every category to any one else I worked with. Deja Blu definitely deserves and earned a 5 star rating. No matter what your musical taste I would recommend working with them. They get people dancing and have great talent."

"Deja Blu went out of their way to learn songs for us and to travel down to our small hometown to play for our event. I enjoyed working with these guys so much- I spent an hour talking to Liz, the lead singer, the first time that we spoke. We clicked. It was a great match. We had a blast at our reception- people danced (I mean people that I was not sure could handle dancing that long) even until the end. My husband even danced more than just the first dance- and he doesn't even like to dance! It meant so much that they worked so hard and really worked to meet our requests. I have a hunch, that they had a great time too. Thank you guys so much! You were awesome!"

"Wow, what a great group of people with an amazing sound. They even had some of our family members who don't dance out on the floor dancing!
They were so easy to work with and very accommodating .
They made the night extra special when they allowed a very loved family member to personally sing a song to us. One point in the night, my husband said he can't dance which turned out not to be the case when they played a song called "he can't dance" just for him. They realy know how to play to a crowd , keep the party going and were happy to take requests.
We hired Deja Blu for our wedding and we would highly recommend the band Deja Blu for any occasion. "

"I think that the host facility of our reception may be a bit upset...I don't think their dance floor and surrounding carpet were durable enough for the level of action they saw! Deja Blu had people up and moving from the moment they started until the last guests were asked to leave. Moreover, Liz and the rest of Deja Blu were extremely gracious and more than willing to learn new songs, and a new version of our song at our request. We couldn't have asked for more...everyone had an absolute blast! Our reception was the second event we've attended played by Deja Blu, and both were occasions we'll remember forever with the purest of smiles."

"We had a great experience with Deja Blu. I booked them for a company Christmas Party in western Kansas. On the day of the party the weather was snowing, blowing, and overall pretty crappy out, I spoke with Liz at 8:30 am and they were already on the road on their way. They figured the weather into their drive time and arrived as planned. They were professional and very friendly with all the guest. I recieved many compliments on them. I will use them again in the future if I ever need a live band again."

My guests are still talking about them &that Liz sounded just like the original artist for EVERY song.She had people out on the floor singing & dancing from song#1. "The band was fantastic. A lot of our 100+ guests remarked on how great the band was and we (Gary and I) totally agreed. I danced the entire night--just loved the music. Liz kept up the energy and engaged with a lot of the folks just sitting alone. She had most of the folks up dancing. We encouraged folks to wear a costume and were pleased that Liz and the guys also dressed up. I think they enjoyed themselves too. It was a great party experience. One of our guests suggested we book the band for our next big birthday party which would be in 10 years. I already told Liz to put us on her calendar :-). We couldn't have been more pleased! "

"Deja Blu went over an above to accomodate our needs. First we needed to cancel our Holiday party in December (due to laying half of our staff off) and instead of taking the money and moving along, they were willing to reschedule their engagement with us.
They learned new songs just for us - specifically the YMCA song. Which of course is not popular with everyone but - the band rose to the occasion and did a great job - liked the song or not - you could never tell.
We thoughoughly enjoy working with the band - and would book them again and again if the occasion ever comes up.

"Deja Blu musicians are the epitome of professional entertainment! At our daughter’s wedding reception, guests loved them and continually commented on their great music. Deja Blu accommodated our song list developed from their repertoire, and learned a new song requested by the bride and groom. During the band’s break, our iPod song list brought us down memory lane with the artists we selected. Comments from our guests included “how did you find such talent”, “these guys are awesome,” “I love this music – they sound like the originals,” “they deserve a larger audience,” and “the music was so good I had to dance and couldn’t stop.” I just wish that everyone could experience Deja Blu and bask in their harmony! Besides sounding great with their own professional audio equipment, instruments and lighting, band members were a handsome lot dressed formally for our wedding reception. With their cordial and pleasant demeanor, members eagerly aimed to please. Liz Valles, lead singer and manager, was exceptionally easy to work with during planning, and communicated very well. She worked with coordinators to announce reception events, and was flexible as needed.
