Description
The Mulligans are one of the premier hi-energy dance-rock bands in the tri-state area playing an exciting mix of classic party anthems from the sixties through today. In the spirit of classic cover bands like The Nerds, The Mulligans are a versatile four-piece ensemble that sculpt their sets in unique, lively, and surprising ways taking the audience on a fun musical joyride— evidence their clever medley of Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots are Made for Walking" into The Door's "Break on Through" for example. And in addition to playing a wide range of classic dance hits by artists such as The Beatles, The Stones, Duran Duran, U2, Oasis, Neil Diamond, AC/DC, Elvis, etc., the Mulligans incorporate a Celtic flair into their music via instruments like mandolin and bouron, often pushing a party over the top by skewing a traditional Irish Drinking Song with a driving Green Day backbeat!
The Mulligans musical goal is to get their audience on the dance floor and keep 'em there, making sure everyone—regardless of their age or musical taste— has a great time and is singing along. As a result, the quartet has been a popular choice for backyard parties, corporate events, weddings, second weddings, third weddings, milestone birthday parties, graduations, etc. Mulligan co-leaders Vinnie DeMasi and Lloyd Gold are based out of Eastern Long Island and Central New Jersey respectively so the band travels extensively in the greater metropolitan area to perform. They are willing to work within most budgets and also offer Mulligans Lite– an acoustic two- or three-piece version of the band.

Feedback
- Everyone that attended our party, from my wife, Tracy, the guest of honor, to all our guests felt that the band was fantastic. Vinny, Lloyd, and the guys were top shelf. They were a lot of fun, played everything we could ask for with a smile and were all around good guys. I know for a fact that guests from my party are planning to use the Mulligans in the future as would I at the first chance I could. Great party band!!! -- John A, Massapequa, NY, 8/7/2010
- The Mulligans made our wedding what it was -- a fun, exciting and entertaining event for everyone in the room. They're not a traditional wedding band, but more a party rock band that worked well with a formal setting. They were accommodating in learning some favorite songs not currently on their play list. And, they even performed an unplanned Irish jig for our niece and nephews impromptu performance. We received many compliment on the band, and we'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for an unconventional band for any happy occasion. -- Vincent C, Rye, NY, 5/6/2011
- The Mulligans played at my wife's 40th Birthday party and we loved every song they played and the energy they brought to our party. We had about 55 guests and they all loved The Mulligans and in fact many of our friends have contacted us to compliment us on The Mulligans...everyone loved the music selection and the quality of play, especially their renditions of U2, Coldplay, The Doors, etc...our guests danced all night and The Mulligans made an already special night that much more memorable. My wife and I highly recommend The Mulligans !! -- Kimberly S, Hingham, MA, 9/25/2010
