Our professional and educated musicians are some of the best in New England. Nominated two times for Best Female Vocalist in the Portland Phoenix Best Music Poll, our vocalist has received praise from the likes of Jack Johnson and Ben Harper and has garnered comparisons to such artists as Fiona Apple, Norah Jones, Lauryn Hill and Susan Tedeschi.

Our instrumentalists are master players. Our main line-up is made up exclusively of music graduates currently teaching at private music schools.

The size and make-up of the group is flexible, catering to a diverse range of tastes in both music, themes and instrumentation. We work with our clients to provide memorable musical entertainment for once in a lifetime events.

Something Blue can provide music for your cocktail hour with options including solo classical guitar, duo, trio and on up to a larger band. Want something eclectic that we don't have such as accordion, banjo, trombone or violin? We can do the searching for you as part of our services. We will even arrange for a horn section if you desire brass. Your customized ensemble can be as large or stripped down as you wish and our pricing is reflective of a range of options to accommodate your dream as well as your budget.

• Something Blue was a really wonderful band - we're so very happy we used them for our wedding. Jaye is really really nice and accommodating. She was very professional and worked closely with the restaurant day of planner to iron out details. The only hiccup at the time we were planning the wedding was that they didn't have a wireless mic so they asked us to get our own PA system. It was $40 at Buckdancers for a one-day rental. In the end though, they had a wireless mic that we could use. Everyone at the wedding raved about how good they were and how much better they are than the stereotypical wedding band.
