Sometimes you just need someone to play music, and sometimes you want the very best.
What is quality and professionalism worth? I am more than just a DJ. I give personal attention to my clients to make sure your once in a life time reception, or party, is what you want it to be. I will be the DJ at your wedding, the one talking to you on the phone about your reception, e-mailing you about details and songlist, or meeting you in person.
Getting a DJ for a junior high dance is different than looking for someone for your ceremony/reception. Realize when you are hiring a DJ for a reception, you could say you are inviting them to your event to meet your immediate family and closest friends. Besides being a personality you also want them to be a great entertainer, reading your crowd, knowing how to get the dancing going, and keeping the flow of the reception.
You will find my price is a little higher than some DJs by several hundred dollars on many sites, and lower than others. What is your time worth? With experience, my time is worth more, and my customers agree. You need to question the lowest priced DJ in what kind of equipment he/she has. Will it work on the day of your wedding or special event, or has the DJ cut corners on quality? You also need to question whether you are hiring a contracted DJ or the owner.
Pricing is based on many different variables; such as, quality, appearance, availability, professionalism, variety, experience, reputation, time, quality equipment, and customer service. I believe my price is average for a reception starting at around $795-$895 for a local four hour reception going up to $1000-$1500 based upon number of hours, season, availability, and distance to travel.
When you book me, I will spend time preparing, meeting with you, planning the reception activities, and being there two hours early to set up, and an hour later to break down. Mr. Thrill spends minimum eight hours on the day of the reception, and six to twelve hours in preparation for your event, along with providing DJ equipment, literally thousands of dollars worth of equipment,cordless mics, and years of experience which all leads to a wonderful reception.
I do purchase my music legally. I carry DJ liability insurance. I dress professionally for each event, usually in full tux for a reception; whatever is appropriate for each event.
At additional cost I also provide uplighting and infocus projector and screen for slide shows, at extra cost.
If you are looking for one of the best DJ/MC/Entertainers for your most special wedding day or private party at a reasonable price under a $1000, then you are at the right place. Some people are willing to pay less for one of the most important parts of the wedding or party, the music and entertainment. Over and over again, people remember quality entertainment, and most times quality costs a little more.
I use top quality equipment; powered Mackie 450s with JBL subs, Shure microphones, LED lights. I've learned that it pays to buy the best equipment as it lasts longer, the sound quality is better, along with giving my clients superior equipment. At every event I have back up equipment for the unforeseen, along with a back up DJ.
Ask any recent bride, and they will tell you how important and integral a part the DJ is to a wedding reception.
Mr. Thrill will only give you top notch customer service, and do everything to make your event as special, entertaining, and smooth as possible.
"We had our wedding at Texas Old Town in Kyle. I was nervous about the event as I had over 300 people. I wanted to make sure every detail was ready. Bill met with us a few months before the date. Through e-mail and phone calls we discussed the different events of the reception. "We have a winter formal for the Swingers, a girl's club from Round Rock High School. Mr. Harris came highly recommended from several others who had used him for sweet 16 parties and high school dances. He was also a middle school teacher and had had many of our girls in his classes. We communicated our concerns before the dance of music lyrics and type of dancing; we wanted our kids to have fun, but we wanted the music changed up so there would not be too much of this new dancing. Mr. Harris was very sensitive to our concerns and the evening was splendid. The kids loved the music and danced the night away. The lyrics were clean, as much as possible. - This is the second year we used Mr. Thrill DJ and Bands for our awards ceremony for AVON. This year we used him for four of our award ceremonies within Texas. Bill Harris, Mr. Thrill, played music in the background along with appropriate songs at the right moments that really enhanced our event. As ladies would come up on stage he would play a mix of music that set the tone for the event, whether to honor those receiving awards, or creating excitement during the evening.
