In addition to our professional DJ entertainment, we also offer many extras for our Clients. Perhaps you are looking to add live entertainment to your event, a solo performer, small combo, or a live band with DJ music during the band breaks. Alternatively, you may want a live band during a portion of the event, such as during cocktails and dinner, then the excitement of dance music played over a professional sound system featuring the music of your choice. The added benefit is you will also have a professional Emcee to make all of your announcements for the entire time, with a seamless transition and non-stop entertainment the entire time!

As the owner of Jeff Davis DJs, I have over 30 years experience in the music entertainment and radio broadcast industries. Since 1975, I have been an on-air performer at many highly rated Metropolitan Washington DC radio stations such as WPGC, Q-107, Z-104, WAVA and WMZQ. During my career as an on-air personality, I have hosted hundreds of live performances and remote broadcast events in and around the DC area. Events such as the March of Dimes Walk-a-Thon at the Washington Monument Sylvan Theatre, the Great Rambling Raft Race at West Potomac Park, and the final Beach Boys 4th of July concert on the Washington Monument Grounds.

Along with my staff of professional DJs, we have performed at hundreds of parties just like yours! Now, a little bit about the other DJs that perform with me. All of the DJs are professional musicians and play with Swing Machine, an 18-piece Big Band that is also represented on Gigmasters. Mike Barber was the trumpet section leader for the Army concert band for 26 years, as well as a member of the Army Blues Jazz Band for the last 3 years of his tour of duty with the Army. Mike has a vast knowledge of music, and has done DJ work for years, as well as being a motivational speaker. Laura Suite also has a considerable experience with performing at private parties, and works especially well with younger groups. Rick Lillard was a member of the prestigious Air Force Airmen of Note as the featured jazz trombone soloist, appearing on numerous Airmen of Note CDs. Rick has an incredible knowledge of all types of music, and presents a professional and classy presentation when he emcees an event such as a corporate party or wedding reception. Regardless of whom you choose to perform, we always provide a professional entertainment package to our customers.

Our library includes Top 40, Solid Gold, Country, favorites from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and Dance music, as well as an extensive Big Band library. We always welcome your song requests, and will also respect any do not play requests.

We use PC-based sound systems, which allows us to catalog and inventory thousands of songs, making it possible to quickly take song requests using the search function of the software. The software we use is the same software used by many radio stations, allowing a seamless transition from song to song without any silence between songs to keep your party going! We also have the "old fashioned" CDs and vinyl 45s for those special events such as sock hops and "beach" parties.

Of course, the most important event is the one you are planning, whether it is a casual get-together, corporate event, or a formal wedding reception where my experience and professional ability to coordinate the events and announcements makes your party a memorable one. Our performances can be as personality-oriented as you like, or laid-back if it's just the music you want to hear.

We don't subcontract any work to other DJs companies, and we are not an "agency" that represents many performers. We are a small staff of high-quality DJs that work closely with our customers to provide professional entertainment. We always dress appropriately for your event, arrive on time, play what you ask us to play, and we don't play music that is offensive in nature in terms of lyrics or other content.

• I could no be more pleased with how our event was handled by Jeff Davis Djs! This is our second year in a row using their services. This year was more challenging due to the cold and rainy weather. • Our experience with Jeff Davis DJs was over the top. We have worked with other DJs before but you cannot even compare him to anyone else we’ve worked with. He went above and beyond what was needed. He showed up to our event 2 hours prior to the start of the event. Our event was rescheduled due to a major snow storm and he worked with us to switch the date. • Geoff provided fantastic support to our corporate holiday party. He made sure to coord well in advance with me on what he needed to setup, so there weren't any surprises. He had arrived early and got everything ready for the planned start to dancing at 8:30 - but our event was running an hour late and at 8:30 we were just getting to intermission. Instead of just waiting, Geoff took the initiative to play some nice music during the break - I was so pleased. • Our event was a charity run/walk, and required periodic announcements of sponsoring organizations, introduction of speakers, announcements of the awards, playing a variety of music - and setting up at 6am outdoors with no power source on a dark October morning! • Jeff Davis was the DJ at our wedding this weekend and did an amazing job. He was given very little details about the schedule and was only given about 5 songs and that he can play any requests and songs to get people dancing.
