Derek Evan is a DJ/MC providing entertainment services at events of all kinds throughout the NJ and PA area. He is also a singer and recording artist, and the founder of Derek Evan Entertainment, LLC. He has been in the entertainment business since 1986, and has been a DJ for the past 13 years. He also has extensive knowledge of many different musical genres and eras.

Derek brings all of his own equipment, including high-quality speakers and CD mixers, microphones, speaker stands, a DJ table, and all necessary wires and cables. He also keeps back-up equipment on stand-by just in case a piece of equipment should happen to break down or develop a problem at some point during an event.

• Prior to the party, Derek responded promptly to all emails and accepted our song list in advance so he could be sure he had everything we wanted. He set up in plenty of time so he was ready to go when the guests arrived. He opened the dance floor right away, invited people to dance without being aggressive about it. He introduced songs from time to time, and even made a weird announcement about the cake for me! (A silly way to let people know it was time for cake.) He was willing to have us make speeches, but everyone was having such a good time with the music and dancing that we all forgot about speeches. • Derek was very accomodating and my daughter loved all the music he had with him! Great selection. . .She wished he had more lighting and the sound was good but did not go loud enough...The room we had party in was quite large and has high ceiling, so that might have had something to do with it. The kids asked him to turn up some of the songs, but he was already at max volume. It was fine for us older folks, but you know how the kids like it? Overall, we were very happy with him, the party was a success and they danced all night long! Thank You Derek and Thank You Gigmasters. We will spread the word!
