DJ Realius 1 DJ from Fort Lauderdale, FL

Born in a small town on the suburbs of Manchester, United Kingdom, Realius 1 mixes old school and new school hip hop and funky electro house jams, cutting and scratching on state-of-the-art technology to bring his unique British flavor to the Miami music scene. After an impressive international career, Realius moved to Miami in 2012 and taught DJ fundamentals to all ages at the famous "Scratch DJ Academy". He placed in several local battles and a spot in a competition held at Kaos Ultra Lounge for a monthly Saturday night residency, which he held for several months before crashing into the scene. Most recently Realius has played EOS ( in the Viceroy), Catalina, EvE's Drum n' Bass night with Rel the Soundbender, Master of the Mix / Smirnoff Sunfest Barge Party, Ultra Scratch Panel at the Miami Music Convention, Stash Bash at the Goose Lounge, Wowwie's Sports Bar, Miami Universe, the EA Spinoff and the Miami Full Moon Party. Prior to Miami, Realius won the "Cut Above the Rest" DJ Scratch Battle in the UK and placed in the same competition (2nd and 3rd place) in 2003. He joined the "Terrorwrists" turntable crew and toured the UK as a DJ act with other members, bringing in over 1000+ people for their "Blue Note" parties. After leaving University with a degree in music production, Realius signed with Lakeside Productions in Scotland and recorded two albums under their label before Intercrime Recordings brought him to Madrid, Spain as a signed artist. His drum and bass track with Intercrime led Realius to a booking with DJ Sub focus on his European tour. Realius' specialized beats have made him an influential player in the techno revolution in Manchester, putting him at the forefront of the club scene. Prior to his arrival in the U.S., Realius was playing McDermotts in Leeds, Chocolate in Rochdale city centre, Sinclairs in Manchester city centre, Sanky Soaps Manchester's underground hip hop club, and held a recurring residency at Factory 52 where he opened for UK beatboxer Beardy Man and DMC champion JFB. Realius went across the globe again when he was sent to Dubai to DJ a club opening and festival based on his ability to combine various genres, time periods and cultures of music into flowing pieces that keep the dance floor packed. Realius 1 is currently available for private parties, club venues, lessons in traktor and serato, music consulting, DJ intro edits, personal mixes, playlist compilations, cross genre introductions and much more.
