John Alden, founder of Alden Entertainment, graduated Syracuse University with a degree in Music Business and Voice. Fresh out of college, he scored a position at New York's seminal Hip Hop/Dance label, Next Plateau Records, working with artists Salt-N-Pepa, and many others. John now perfoms over 200 shows a year as a Vocalist, DJ, Guitarist & Emcee. He appeared as a featured vocalist in the Sinatra Birthday Bash at the Count Basie Theater and is the "house band" at Tonic (Times Sq. NYC) perfoming as a Vocalist/KJ/VJ/Emcee. John is also a songwriter who has performed for the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the New York SongCircle and whose songs have been featured in several films. His latest effort is the album of original songs, Dreams Don't Lie.

• John couldn't have been easier to work with. He was able to confirm with us and plan all the details between phone and e-mail. My (now) husband and I were very indecisive on some of the song selections we wanted, and John was able to accommodate us very last minute. • John was a wonderful DJ at my wedding. He called me a few nights before the wedding to go over the final details regarding our song choices and how to pronounce everyone's names (no small feat in my wedding). He played every song from the list of "wants" that my hsband and I had. I still have wedding guests commenting on what a great time they had at the wedding, with John's music selections being one of the top things they enjoyed. • As an entertainer, I have worked with many djs and i can say that John is, without question, an outstanding dj. He displayed a high degree of professionalism as we were planning my daughter's engagement party for 8/27. He is also an extremely talented singer. All was in place for our event: 2 vocalists, song list for the evening, slide show, schedule of toasts, etc. when we suddenly had to cancel b/c of Hurricane Irene. As John was unavailable for our new date he recommended DJ Chris, who was a wonderful replacement.
